The 26-year-old former Canadian Idol contestant and “Call Me Maybe” singer’s star is rising day by day!

While appearing on New Music Live last week, Justin Bieber called into the show to announce that he’s signed Carly to his School Boy Record Label.

“yep. @carlyraejepsen is part of the team now!! EVERYONE FOLLOW HER and get ready 2 support her music. SHE IS AMAZING INSIDE & OUT! congrats” Justin tweeted after his call.

Now in Los Angeles, Carly tweeted on her way to the States, “It’s always fun to tell the guy at customs that you are going to LA to meet @justinbieber. Deadpan.”

They’re normal teens after all!

A new video has surfaced of young superstars Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber as they get silly with pals like Ashley Tisdale and Carlos Pena Jr in a video for the song Call Me Maybe.

It was just announced that Justin signed Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen to his manager Scooter Braun‘s label after hearing her single and calling it a smash – congrats to Carly!

We don’t think we’ve ever seen two teenagers more devoted to spending time with family than Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber!

Along with Justin’s younger half-siblings Jaxson and Jazmyn, the lovebirds hit Paradise Cove beach in Malibu this weekend for some fun in the sun and surf.  According to sources, “Jazmyn fed the seagulls while Jaxson got swung around by loving Selena.”

Are Justin and Selena prepping themselves to start a family of their own???  Hopefully they’ll wait at least a few more years, but it sure looks like they’re going to make good parents when the time is right!

Justin has been busy creating new music. “in studio finishing this single,” he tweeted on Thursday. “would write some of my lyrics here but dont want anymore people stealing them for songs. this be mine. lol.”
